Parents enjoy musical offerings at Principal’s Drinks event

Those Middle School and Senior College parents who attended the Principal’s Welcome Drinks last week were treated to some delightful music from members of the cast of our upcoming production of “Beauty and the Beast”. Madi Edwards-Turner, Jonah Fleming, Natasha Gillam, Lilli Holliday-Ryder and Ella Jones sang background music and then ‘Belle’ and ‘Gaston’ gave the parents a sneak peek at their characters in the show. Many thanks to the students who provided this delightful entertainment. ‘Beauty and the Beast’ plays at the Karralyka Theatre from 18-21 March and tickets are on sale now.

Secretary needed for Friends of Music committee

Music plays an important part in our School’s life and Tintern Grammar’s music students and staff have a strong, committed supporter base with Tintern Friends of Music (FOM). Powered by a common love of music, this passionate group of parents fundraise for the Music Faculty, as well as generously devoting their time and energy to ensure the success of a variety of musical productions and events featuring Tintern Grammar music students. No special abilities are needed, apart from a willingness to become involved and help support our young musicians with their endeavours.

Tintern Friends of Music host a range of special events each year, including Jazz Night and ‘Munch with the Musos’. Meetings are held at 7pm Wednesday evenings, usually once a month in the CM Wood Common Room. These dedicated music-lovers are on the lookout for new members (and especially in need of a Secretary at the moment) so, if you’re interested in joining the committee, please contact .
