TPG Trivia Night – Final chance to book!

Don’t miss out on an exciting, fun filled evening of Trivia at Tintern Grammar! Bookings for the Trivia Night this Saturday 29 February close tomorrow, Wednesday 26 February. Book your ticket here!

The night will feature many fun games and a Silent Auction organized by the Green Team and Social Justice Group. All proceeds from the Silent Auction will go toward their Fundraising Target $16,250, which will supply 500 solar lamps at $32.50 each to young people in developing countries who currently rely on dangerous kerosene fuelled lights. To read more on the program please visit: https://solarbuddy.org/

Choose a theme for your table and ‘dress to your theme’, whether a colour, book, movie, song or television show, the opportunities are endless.

Senior College students are also welcome to attend.

The Social Justice Group and the Green Team are also seeking donations towards the evening, to be used as prizes or as part of the Silent Auction. If you or your business have something to donate; whether a gift, product or experience, please contact Anne Bortolussi to ABortolussi@tintern.vic.edu.au. Any donations will be acknowledged on the night, and in our newsletter.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Friends of Equestrian (FOE) Bush Fire Relief Appeal

Like all of us, the Friends of Equestrian (FOE) team are heartbroken at the recent devastating bushfires across Australia.
Our love of horses and animals leads us to help those who are most vulnerable and cannot help themselves. With millions of animals either killed, injured or lost their homes, they need our help.

The Tintern Equestrian Team and FOE are raising funds to buy feed, hay and medical supplies which will be delivered to Warriors 4 Wildlife.
The generous family from Turner’s Stockfeed in Park Orchards has sourced products directly from suppliers for us at cost price so we can maximise our funds raised.

Members from our Equestrian team will deliver to Warriors 4 Wildlife on behalf of the Tintern Grammar Community.

FOE would also like to take this opportunity to thank Turner’s Stockfeed for their support and help.

Please make your donations there through this trybooking link: https://www.trybooking.com/BIMDY

2020 FOM Committee

The Tintern Grammar Friends of Music (FOM) would like to invite interested parents and friends to consider joining us as a Committee member or Secretary. We are a group of parents and staff who support the teaching and performing of music throughout all year levels of the school. Thank you to all who attended the Friends of Music AGM on Wednesday 12 February. A special thank you to Melissa Settle, who has stepped down as Secretary in 2020, but continues as a valuable member of the FOM Committee.

2020 FOYF Annual General Meeting

The Tintern Grammar Friends of Young Farmers’ AGM will be held on Monday 16 of March 2020 at 7:30pm in the Kennedy Cottage (opposite Tennis Courts).

Tintern Grammar’s Friends of Young Farmers (FOYF) Committee is an enthusiastic group of parents who support the Young Farmers program at Tintern. FOYF organises a number of activities throughout the year including social gatherings, dinners and functions associated with travelling to Bendigo for the annual Australian Sheep & Wool Show. The highlight of the school year for FOYF is the Spring Celebration where the entire school community is involved to celebrate the farm.

We are currently looking for new members to join our Committee in 2020. The FOYF Committee relies heavily on parent involvement and without this involvement, we cannot support the Young Farmers program.

We warmly welcome new members to join FOYF and encourage all new and existing parents to join the committee.

For further information or if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact Meaghan Cross (FOYF President) on 0407 817 487.
