Junior String students shine

Our Junior String students were the stars of their online Junior String Concerts last week. Congratulations to all performers for, once again, recording their performances at home and bringing great enjoyment to your families and friends.

Prep to Years 3 Concert

Years 4 to 6 Concert

We are looking forward to the release of the pre-recorded (home-based) Years 7 to 12 String Concert at the end of Term 3.

Congratulations Ella Jones in Year 10.

Ella Jones (Year 10) recently received a Distinction Grading in her Grade 5 Certificate in Popular Vocal Performance from the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) Rockschool.

If you have not heard of this arm of the AMEB before, it is a vibrant, contemporary music program of exams and qualifications for electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, drums, vocals, piano and ukulele!

Ella had to sing a series of technical exercises for the examination, and received excellent feedback from the examiner for this section of the exam. She also sang three songs for which she was commended for her ‘convincing expressive techniques … (and her) … fluency and articulation’. Congratulations, Ella!

Happy holidays!

The Instrumental music teachers and our Speech and Drama teacher wish all of their individual students a wonderful break at the end of this week. We especially wish our VCE Music students all the best as they prepare their 25-minute programs for their live solo Music Performance VCE examinations in October. Congratulations, also, to the IB Music students who now have concluded recording their programs for submission to examiners for assessment.

Have a safe and happy holiday!
