ELC News

This year has been an extraordinary year and it has been dominated by the watching of numbers going up and coming back down. These have all been related to Covid so I thought it was fitting to recount some different numbers relevant to the ELC:

7, the numbers of weeks we delivered an online program to 3- and 4-year olds.

150, the approximate number of Zoom sessions that were held during the ELC online learning.

4, the number of spaces I have taught and led the ELC from, the classroom, my dining room table, the ELC office and my kitchen bench.

4, the number of whole ELC events that have been presented and run on Zoom. Friday Disco Dance, Fathers Night, Information Night and the ELC Christmas Concert.

97, the number of children in the ELC.

50, the number of children leaving us this year to move onto Prep either here at Tintern or elsewhere.

1800, the approximate number of stories read to the children in the ELC over the year.

240, the number of band aids applied to knees.

720, the number of cuddles provided.

2 the number of staff who are leaving us this year. We wish both Gemma Tucker and Mikaela Kelly all the best for their future endeavours.

14, the number of staff I am eternally grateful to for their hard work, dedication and ability to deliver amazing programs to the children in our care be it Face to Face or via zoom.

33 weekly newsletters with a total word count of: 33,000.

56, the number of days until we welcome back our students and meet all our new families and their children

17, the numbers of “sleeps”, at the time of writing this, until Christmas day. This is a very important number in the ELC.

94 the number of families who have enrolled their children at Tintern Grammar ELC and trusted us with their child’s education.

Infinity the wishes for Christmas and the New Year that we as a staff send to all our families.

1, big wish for all our families for a safe Holiday and a prosperous 2021.
