Community Matters

Friends of Music FOM – An invitation to new members!

We would like to invite new members to join and support the activities of our Tintern musicians. Our AGM is Tuesday 15 March 2022 at 7pm in the CM Wood Common Room and we would love any interested parents/friends to take this opportunity to meet us and consider joining our committee.

The Friends of Music was formed in 2000 and is a community group which seeks to:

  • Promote an appreciation of music in a variety of forms for the enjoyment of the school community.
  • Act as a support group to the Music Department by providing financial and physical assistance with musical events and the music requirements of the school.

Membership consists of parents and staff from all areas of the school who work together in various ways to support the school’s Music students and the Music Department.

We very grateful for the ongoing support of the parents on our Friends of Music committee and look forward to welcoming new members. If you are interested in assisting with events, but unable to attend meetings, would like further information, or would like to join the committee please contact fom@tintern.vic.edu.au.

Friends of Young Farmers (FOYF) – An invitation to new members

We would like to invite new members to join and support the activities of our Tintern Young Farmers and the Tinternwood Farm. Our AGM is Monday 4 April 2022 at 7pm and we would love any interested parents/friends to take this opportunity to meet us and consider joining our committee. Footy Tipping Competition – AFL

The Tintern Grammar community footy tipping competition is back again for 2022!

For those interested in joining the 2022 competitions, details are below:

You will then have to log into your own account or create one. When setting up your account, you might like to check the reminder email box so you don’t forget!

The competition is free and open to our entire adult (18+ @ 28/1/2022) Tintern community – Tintern Grammar students will not be permitted to enter. If you have any questions please email communityrelations@tintern.vic.edu.au and we’ll help you get started.

Unfortunately, due to the new AFLW timing, we have missed the start of the season. We are incredibly disappointed, but we are unable to run a fair and equitable tipping competition for AFLW in 2022. Please note we will ensure the Tipping competition commences prior to the start of the 2023 AFLW season.

Cash Prizes awarded for the winners of the AFL Tipping Competition:

AFL Footy Tipping Prizes:

  • 1st Prize $250
  • 2nd Prize $120
  • 3rd Prize $60
  • 4th Prize $40
