Friends of Music Jazz Night 2021

Save the Date for the 2021 Friends of Music Jazz Night. This year we have a Winter Wonderland theme, and it will held on Friday 27 August.

Students are invited to submit an entry in to the competition to design the poster! Prize is a $50 Hoyts voucher. For further information please contact the Music Office.

Year 4A enjoyed a welcome morning tea at Cafe Emjay for the Lukman family, who recently joined their class. Held on Monday 24 May they were able to gather before the Victorian Snap Lockdown. Thank you to Class Rep Viv Liou for arranging such a lovely welcome.

Interested in taking on the role of Parent Representative?

Parent Representative are a liaison between parents/guardians and the school. Informing parents about activities planned either by Tintern, our community groups or within the class or year level, such as fundraisers or events. We are still seeking Parent Reps for the following classes / year levels:

Year 3 Girls
Year 7 Girls
Year 8 Boys
Year 9 Boys
Year 9 Girls
Year 10

June Reunion Festival

Last Saturday we celebrated our June Reunion festival through an online Zoom-union. Despite months of careful planning, the snap lockdown in Victoria meant that our onsite Reunion had to be postponed once again. We called on the skills learnt in 2020 and offered an interim option of an online reunion. Attendees joined us from the Class of 1975, 1976, 1980, 1981, 1985 and 1986, with cheerful and spirited conversations.

We look forward to seeing everyone in person, at the on-site Reunions at a date to be confirmed.

Footy Tipping Competition – AFL and AFLW

The Tintern Grammar community footy tipping competition is here, and it is not to late to join!

For those interested in joining the 2021 competitions, details are below:

The competition is free and open to our entire adult (18+ @ 28/1/2021) Tintern community – Tintern Grammar students will not be permitted to enter. Competition is until the end of the home and away games (finals are not included). If you have any questions please email communityrelations@tintern.vic.edu.au and we’ll help you get started.

Cash Prizes, paid by direct deposit, awarded for the winners of each Tipping Competition:

AFL Footy Tipping Prizes:

1st Prize $250
2nd Prize $120
3rd Prize $60
4th Prize $40
5th Prize $20

If the AFL season is shortened at a later date due to Covid, the tipping competition will continue, but the prizes will be adjusted accordingly.
