Chamber Choir bring musical joy to aged care residents
On a wet and windy afternoon in week one of Term 4, our Senior Girls’ Chamber Choir headed off to the Blue Cross Aged Care Facility in Box Hill to perform a concert of enjoyable choral numbers, interspersed with some delightful vocal solos from our Unit 4 VCE Music Performance students, Tash, Ella and Emily who were joined by Unit 2 Music student, Ashley. The residents were quite entranced with the girls’ angelic voices.
Celebration Evening provided a feast of music
A huge thank you to all music staff and students involved in our musical performances at Celebration Evening last week. The calibre of performances was exceptional in all cases, and this is attributable to the hard work undertaken in rehearsals for many weeks prior to taking to the stage at Robert Blackwood Hall on 9 October.
Another round of outstanding examination results for our Tintern musicians
Over the past few months, we have seen many of our Piano, String, Brass and Woodwind students sit AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) examinations both here at school and at the AMEB studios in Hawthorn. We have been very proud of the effort these students have put into their preparation.
