Sir Donald Bradman, John Lennon, Sir John Monash. All in the same room at the same time?
Tuesday 30 October saw the 2018 version of the Year 7 ‘Night of the Notables.’ For several weeks leading up to the event, Year 7 students undertook research on a ‘notable’ person: someone who has made a significant contribution to humanity through their work or passion.
On the evening, the students took on the character of their ‘notable’, answering a range of questions from the crowd of parents, grandparents, other family and friends who attended the expo-style occasion in the CM Wood Centre. The 2018 Year 7 cohort ‘raised the bar’ in terms of their preparation and presentation, and certainly related a vast amount of information for the visitors wandering through.
All in all, it was a wonderful evening of learning, sharing and celebrating the efforts of the students in finding out so much about their ‘notable.’ Congratulations to the Year 7 cohort on putting on such a wonderful ‘show.’
