In the last week of Term 1 our Year 7 boys ventured on their first camp to Merricks on the Mornington Peninsula. Again we were blessed with the weather which is fortunate given that this is a water based camp. The boys were involved in stand up paddle boarding, bike riding, tree climbing, snorkelling in the pool and then out at Pope’s Eye in Port Phillip Bay and in and around the seals. The boys also hiked along the coastline for their overnight hike before spending the night in groups sleeping under a big tarp. It was a great experience for the boys, learning to cook for themselves on trangias, cooperate together and also have a lot of fun.
