In Year 6, we have been extremely motivated to track our moods and emotions throughout every day. At the start of the school day, we identify our moods in our Record Books using our Moodmetre and then again at the end of the day. This helps us to accept, monitor and understand why we feel a certain way. We understand that it’s normal and okay to feel flat sometimes and we are learning how to manage these times and learn from them. We know that this is something GROICK would do. With GROICK by our side, we are proactive about practising Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness in our GEM books daily along with splashing our random acts of kindness around the room, as the advice we got from GROICK was to, ‘throw kindness around like confetti’. We believe these daily routines help us to strive towards becoming our very best selves.
