Visual Distortion Glass Art

Year 7 Art

While learning online our Year 7 Art Students have been finding new, innovative ways to make art from materials that they have at home. Recently they have been exploring ‘Optical Illusion Renderings’, which led them to create a photographic studio at home, using their ipads and phones, and some clever lighting techniques to create ‘Visual Distortion Glass Art’.

The students discussed composition, balance, lighting, form and distortion – as well as exploring artists such as Susan Saroff and Steve Purnell. The students then set up their studio spaces and experimented with different lighting placement and using water to magnify and distort the patterns, well done to the students for creating these clever visual masterpieces.
