Congratulations to Victoria McKenzie in Year 9 who has been awarded the Girl Guides’ highest award – the BP (Baden Powell) Award.
Victoria has been a Guide for four years, and completed a number of challenges and activities in each of the following areas over that time:
- Promise and Law
- Outdoors
- Patrol System
- Service
- Guiding Traditions
- World Guiding
Victoria’ Croydon West Guide Unit held a special presentation ceremony for her last weekend, and she will be invited to attend the State Presentation at Government House early next year.
She is one of only a handful of girls to complete the BP Award since the Croydon West Guide Unit started 60 years ago, and it has been six years since the last girl who reached this achievement.
