Lauren Wooller and Paige Anderson study at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in New York City
During the recent holidays, Year 9 students Lauren Wooller and Paige Anderson attended a three week placement at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy studying ballet through their Summer Intensive Program in New York City.
They danced 9-5 every weekday, lived independently in a college dorm, caught the Subway to and from class and prepared their own meals. Classes were taken by Russian teachers who couldn’t speak any English. With translators to help, over the three week period Lauren and Paige picked up quite a few Russian words.
This was truly an amazing educational experience and opportunity which allowed Lauren and Paige to follow their passion. Well done to you both for securing placement into this program which was via audition only. We are sure you had an incredible time!
