All members of our Boys’ Junior School are eagerly awaiting the last night of the school term, when our performance of SEUSSICAL will finally be delivered.
Complementing our Dr Seuss theme across the whole of our Boys’ Junior School, “Seussical’ is a wonderfully energetic, fun and inspiring play, filled with Dr Seuss books and quotes put to music.
Our boys, under the expert and tireless direction of Jacquie Casey, have been wonderfully committed in learning the whole play. Our Prep to Year 2 boys have a number of special parts, and commence the production in a unique manner, and our Year 3-6 boys then perform the majority of the play..with the aim of every boy being on stage, and actively involved, for a long period of time being well met.
Most importantly, the confidence and enjoyment the boys gain from being involved is palpable…as Jacquie was walking to a rehearsal this morning with two Year 5 boys, one of them said ‘I was really nervous at the start, but now I’m really excited”.
That’s a significant example of a Positive Growth Mindset!!!
Seussical commences at 7.00pm in our CM Wood Centre on Thursday 15 September.
