Tintern alumni continue to appear in the media with 2 further articles featuring Celia Pacquola YG 2000 and Bridget Kenna YG 2014.
Celia Pacquola YG 2000: Huge congratulations to Celia Pacquola YG 2000, comedian and actress, who this week won the AACTA award for ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Television Drama’ for her role in ‘The Beautiful Lie’. Celia has joined the long list of comedians to be acclaimed for serious roles. Celia plays a sharp-witted mother of three who is cheated on by her husband in the ABC mini-series The Beautiful Lie. This follows other roles in ABC comedy productions including Utopia and Rosehaven. According to the Sydney Morning Herald Celia could be up for bigger things: “Just as for Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting, Jim Carrey in The Truman Show and Whoopi Goldberg in The Colour Purple, it’s a role that revealed a surprising depth to Pacquola’s acting,”
Bridget Kenna YG 2014: Kangan Institute introduced the next generation of Australian fashion designers through a unique fashion parade, Melbourne Edge, in the heart of our city’s creative precinct, Richmond. Bridget Kenna from YG 2014 was one of the many up and coming designers to feature their designs – here is one of her pieces paraded on the cat walk. Well done Bridget, we look forward to seeing you work.
