This week the students were addressed by Mrs Heather Ruckert (Careers Consultant) about the up and coming VTAC applications. VTAC applications are now open and all students have also received a VTAC guide to help them through the process. The presentation given by Mrs Heather Ruckert, which includes a number of key dates and other very important information, will be available to both students and parents on the Year 12 Level portal page as well as the Careers portal page.
Another important aspect of the VTAC application process for some students will be applying for special consideration via VTAC’s Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS). The Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) is designed to make sure institutions get a sense of your full potential and it enables institutions to consider the circumstances you have experienced and their impact upon your studies when making selection decisions. Students were briefed about the requirements for a SEAS application by Mr Andrew Cho (VCE Co-ordinator). If you have any questions regarding a SEAS application please contact him on email@example.com.
A Post-Secondary Information Night for Year 12 Parents/Guardians will be held this Thursday 9 August from 7:30-8:45pm in the Theatre. This evening is for parents or guardians, students are not required to attend. The format for the evening includes an overview of the VTAC application process with reference to interstate and overseas applications, the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) and a presentation from the Deakin University Admissions team to provide insights into the transition process from school to tertiary study including advice for families.
