As Term 3 draws to a close, Year 11 students are reminded that they have only six weeks of classes in Term 4 in which to complete all their required work and to utilise their class time in preparation for their examinations.
For those who are undertaking a Unit 3/4 VCE subject, there are compulsory practice examinations in the second week of the upcoming holidays. These provide the first experience of what their end of year examinations will require of them, and the feedback they receive from their teachers is invaluable. A timetable for these trial examinations has already been released.
As always, students are encouraged to ask as many questions as possible in order to help target their studying as effectively as possible.
Additionally, over the holidays students who have successfully been voted in for the 2018 School Leadership team will be contacted by the school and asked if they wish to apply for either the School Captain or Vice-Captain positions. Those who wish to do so will present a speech to the Year 10 and 11 students on the first Tuesday back of Term 4.
Students and staff will then vote, followed by an interview with the Principal. Successful applicants will be notified the weekend prior to Celebration Evening (Wednesday 18 October) where the specific positions within the leadership team will be formally announced. The 2018 House Captains will also be formally announced at Celebration Evening.
