News from Year 10

The Year 10 students have settled into their new core and elective subjects and they have reviewed their reports and set goals for second semester. Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences will be combined evenings for the Middle School and Senior College this semester and are being held on Tuesday 23 August, Wednesday 24 August and Wednesday 31 August.

During pastoral time they have also experimented creating a resume on line using the Tintern Careers website and supported by Career Tools. The Work Experience employer evaluation forms received by the school have also been returned to the students.

Thank you to families for the prompt return of the signed subject selection forms as this has assisted the earlier stages of the timetable construction phase.

Congratulations to Matthew Dellavedova

Matthew has achieved some fantastic results and reached the semi-finals of an open age AMT Platinum tennis tournament earlier this term in an event that included 120 players. He also competed in two tournaments that included the best junior tennis players from around the world. In the 18 years and under section, Matthew made the quarter finals and the round of 16 in the second event. An impressive set of wins included beating the Number 1 ranked 16 years and under player and also the current 16 years and under Australian champion. We extend our congratulations to Matthew and acknowledge the enormous dedication and commitment that Matthew has made to his tennis.
