The Year 10 students have returned to school after a well-deserved holiday and the themes for this term in our pastoral sessions relate to ‘Career Exploration’ and ‘Examination Preparation’ including study skills, examination room technique and an introduction to mindfulness. This week our students have been working with their Mentors on their electronic Career Action Plan and also completing their Occupational Health and Safety module tests in preparation for Work Experience at the end of the term. Subject choice interviews have also commenced with one of the Careers staff to discuss the different pathway options provided by the school in terms of VCE, VCE/VET and IB. Conversations relate to the different subject options, possible pre-requisite subjects for tertiary study and preparation for the Subject Showcase Evening to be held on Wednesday 20 July from 7.30 to 9.00pm in the Anderson Centre.
