Year 10 Social and METEC Driving Course
The students enjoyed the Year 10 Social as it provided a wonderful way to celebrate the end of examinations on the evening of Thursday 17 November. We have established a long tradition with Alfred’s Homestead in Warrandyte and the best dance move prizes were a closely contested competition. A special thank you to the Year 10 Mentors, Mr Connor and Ms Constable for joining us during the evening.

A group of 15 Year 10 students participated in the optional METEC Driving course held on a private property in Kilsyth. The course involved a combination of classroom activities and practical driving including a night drive with some students electing to complete their Leaners’ Permit during the course on Friday 18 and Monday 21 November.
Academic Transition Classes
Academic transition classes commenced for the Senior College on Tuesday 22 November and the teaching staff have been particularly impressed with the high level of engagement and positive attitudes of our Year 10 students as they begin their VCE, VET and IB courses in 2017. It is a timely reminder for parents that they can access both the 2017 booklists and also view the transition materials on the Portal. All homework for the students will be due in the first lesson of each subject next year.
