Year 12 Information

Early Closing Dates for Some Courses at Monash and Melbourne Universities

Students have been emailed a list of courses with early closing dates from Monash and Melbourne Universities. For example, the Melbourne University closing date for students to add the following courses to their VTAC preference list AND submit the supplementary form is Wednesday 31 August at 5.00pm: Bachelor of Fine Arts (Animation), Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film and Television and the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Screenwriting).

Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS)

Information has also been emailed to students from VTAC relating to the SEAS application including documentation, tips for impact statements and tips for statements of support. Please note that all supporting documentation must be received at the VTAC office or submitted online by 5pm on Tuesday 4 October. It is also important to note that statements of support cannot be organised until the student has submitted their own ‘Personal Impact Statement’. A reminder that the Year 12 students have been encouraged to connect with VTAC in order to receive updates throughout the application, change of preference and offers process via the Blog, Twitter or Facebook. Families can also subscribe from the VTAC homepage at

Career Chats

Deakin University Visit for Years 10, 11 and 12 Students.

On Tuesday 6 September Ambassadors from the Deakin University Activation Program will be in the Careers Room from 1.00 – 1.30pm. They will be bringing virtual reality goggles to gain insights about the different campuses and students are encouraged to call in and discuss courses, application procedures including entry requirements and get any questions answered during this time.
