CAREERS IN THE SENIOR COLLEGE

Visit from Bond University

Year 10 to 12 students had the opportunity to learn about Bond University and the special relationship with Tintern Grammar as a collegiate school including the offer of a 50 percent scholarship. Vanessa Lea the Manager of Schools chatted informally with students on Wednesday 13 April during lunch time and Year 12 students interested in applying to Bond University should note the scholarship closing date of Sunday 31 July 2016.

Student Ambassador – Year 12 Assembly

A La Trobe University student Ambassador spoke to the Year 12 students about the ATAR calculation, selection procedures and tertiary life plus the opportunities in higher education including study abroad. A representative from La Trobe will return in August to support students applying for the ASPIRE Early Admissions Program that recognises community service and, if successful, results in an early offer to particular courses at a lower ATAR. The application process has not yet commenced for the ASPIRE program and the closing date is Wednesday 31 August 2016.

Focus on Melbourne Seminar Series from 17 May to 15 June 2016

Each seminar focuses on a different area and provides information about entry and application requirements, structure of courses, employment possibilities and pathway options. The first session is ‘Focus on Engineering’ on Tuesday 17 May from 6.30 – 8.00pm and registration is online.
