News from the Careers Department

Year 12 students received a presentation that provided an overview of the year in terms of resources to support the transition phase, the opportunities for individual interviews, the range of seminars and experience days provided by the tertiary sector, resources to support decision making and the role of VTAC (Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre).

The Morrisby Online Careers Testing system will be offered again this year on Tuesday 18 April from 12.45 to 3.30pm in the Senior Library. The printed report will be made available at the Feedback Session on Thursday 27 April from 7.30 to 8.45pm in the Tintern Theatre. A representative from Career Analysts will be conducting the evening session to assist the students and their families to understand the results.

The Morrisby Online system involves a series of computer based tests to help identify strengths combined with a questionnaire focusing on preferred work styles, environment and talents. The student receives unlimited access to the interactive website in addition to their report to explore their Career interests in terms of vocational opportunities.

Families and students in Years 10 to 12 will be emailed a flyer including a reply slip and places will be limited to ensure appropriate supervision levels from the Careers staff at Tintern. A copy of the flyer including the reply slip is available at:
