Percussion Concert

On the chilly night of 5 September, the School held the annual Percussion Concert, made possible by our wonderful percussion and drum kit teacher, Ms Nalini Scarfe. The concert consisted of students from the Junior School, up into the Senior College. There was a large variety of performances, ranging from the drum kit, to a selection of orchestral percussion instruments. We also enjoyed performances across a range of skill levels, with some students performing at their first ever concert, and some being much more experienced.

The concert started off with a fabulous performance from the Percussion Ensemble, showcasing a medley of pieces from the very popular franchise, Star Wars. Throughout the concert there were 14 different soloists with most being on the drum kit, but also some on the xylophone and timpani. Everyone performed their pieces fabulously, playing both confidently and enthusiastically. I personally found this to be an amazing experience and I think I speak on behalf of the whole audience when I say this was a thoroughly enjoyable event overall.
