Congratulations to alumna and Tintern Grammar Avenue of Excellence inductee Helen Reddy (YG 1958) who was honoured with a lifetime achievement award at the 16th annual G’Day USA Gala in Los Angeles over the weekend.
Helen’s daughter, Traci Wald Donat, accepted the night’s biggest award on her behalf and in her acceptance speech spoke of her mother’s fondness for Australia.
Helen had an exceptional career in the USA, with three chart-topping songs reaching #1 on the Billboard rankings, with the most famous of them being the feminist anthem I Am Woman.
