Girls’ Middle School News

As we near the end of Term 3, it’s hard to believe how quickly the term has passed and how many wonderful, interesting, challenging and creative activities have been packed in! The positive opportunities presented by our co-curricular music program were recently evident at the very dynamic and energetic Percussion, Brass and Woodwind concerts. Tomorrow I look forward to enjoying student performances at our Middle School assembly. There is truly some amazing and diverse musical opportunities for our students and their participation and enjoyment of these opportunities is great to see.

During our Middle School assembly this week we are hearing from Ben O’Toole from ‘Step Back Think’. Throughout the presentation students will hear personal stories of social violence, gain a greater understanding of the consequences for both the victim and the perpetrator, and learn how to be better equipped when faced with potential violence. I hope that following the presentation you can discuss these issues further with your daughter.

Our Antipodeans – Vietnam group have been working hard this past term to raise funds for the community service project they will be taking part in during our Term 3 holidays. Thank you all for your support as the students have sizzled sausages, sold chocolates and raffle tickets to raise funds for our project. With the itinerary set, bags packed and VISAs approved, students are set to go! I know this trip will be a memorable and meaningful one for students.

Lastly, we have our annual Spring Celebration at the Tintern Farm this coming Friday afternoon. More details are provided below.
