Term 1 is now in full swing as we cross the half way mark it’s great to see the Year 7s settled in to secondary schooling life, new friendships developing and the positive involvement of our students in so many aspects of school life. In our assemblies this week we acknowledged our 2017 Middle School Leaders (pictured below), who, in the first few weeks of term have already made a big impression as they work together to organise and promote a variety of opportunities for the girls. Our Middle School Captains and Leaders engaged us all at our Middle School Assembly as they spoke to the theme of ‘Aspire’ and we enjoyed a wonderful performance on the Clarinet from Lilli Holliday-Ryder.
Our Year 8 and 9 girls have been busy preparing for their camps taking place 27 February – 3 March. The girls have much to look forward to as each camp presents them with opportunities to challenge themselves and develop their independence, resilience and skills in the outdoors. They will test themselves whether they’re completing a high ropes element on Year 8 camp or having to be self-sufficient on the Year 9 bushwalks, however, whatever challenge is presented to them they will be well supported by staff and their peers and I look forward to hearing stories to share with you all upon their return.
