First Day Back in Term 2

We look forward to welcoming all students back on Wednesday 19 April. Please note: this first day of Term 2 has been designated as a Day 6 (that is we are following a Day 6 timetable in order to recoup some of the Mondays we “lose” across the year.) This change in designated day is actually indicated in student diaries.

Congratulations to alumna Christabelle Sriratana (YG 2021) and current student Zak (Year 12) for recently being selected as 2022 Grid Kids at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. They both had the exciting opportunity of being on the grid prior to the race, and being up close to the formula 1 drivers at the event!

Wheelathon for Wheelchairs For Kids.

On Friday 1 April our Junior Schools participated in a Wheelathon to support the Wheelchairs For Kids organisation.

This remarkable volunteer organisation, comprised of local retiree volunteers, and supported by the Rotary Club, produces and distributes over 300 wheelchairs per month to disabled children in developing countries.

During our Wheelathon, our girls and boys pushed wheelchairs made by the volunteers around a course to raise money for this organisation. Our community has raised over $8000 for Wheelchairs For Kids, an incredible achievement!

Thank you to everyone that has supported this important cause.

The Concert Choir serenades our Facilities Team
As staff and students were arriving at school around 8.00am on Tuesday morning, they were surprised to see our Facilities Team relaxing in the Science Amphitheatre and being serenaded by students in our Senior Concert Choir. The students had written a special song to thank the team for all that they do to support us at school, including maintaining our beautiful grounds and gardens, setting up various venues around the school for functions and ensuring there are plenty of rocks around the campus for us to sit upon! What a happy way to start the day!
