Father’s Day Pizza and Pyjama Day

On Wednesday 30 August the ELC staff hosted the Inaugural Fathers’ Day Pizza and Pyjama Day. The afternoon started with many excited children dressed in pyjamas along with their fathers, grandfathers or special male guest waiting for the ELC doors to open. Once inside everyone settled into the classrooms to build, draw, create and play with the many pieces of equipment that are on offer to the children on a daily basis. The children were also very proud to show off their various pieces of artwork that are on display in the classroom to their special guests. Many varieties of pizzas arrived to satisfy the hungry stomachs of both the children and our guests. Dessert was ice cream and sprinkles with some children even requesting and enjoying seconds. It was pleasing to see all guests enjoying the chance to catch up, communicate and enjoy the afternoon with other members of our community and of course their own child/children.

Thanks to Anna, Kristin, the ELC staff and Jan Wagner for their contribution and organisation of the event.
