ELC Superhero Disco
This year at the end of Term 2 we held our first ELC Superhero disco.
During the weeks prior, we talked a great deal about what makes someone a Superhero. What do they do and what would they look like? We introduced the idea that a Superhero may not be a Superman or Spiderman but indeed someone very close to us.
We celebrated and thanked our family of First Responders and talked to the children about what a First Responder does.
We also broke down what a Superhero might do for us and encouraged the children to look within their own familiar circle of family to find a Superhero!
This person the children then invited to our first Superhero Disco. The children and their Heroes came dressed ready to jump, jiggle and sing under the revolving disco ball in the CM Wood.
We played games, danced, took Superhero photos, and enjoyed some Superhero snacks together.
We hope we sent home happy tired little Superheros. Enjoy the photos.
