ELC News

It has come to that time of year, where we celebrate all the things our mothers and significant female others do for us, by making a day specially for them.

The children made special gifts, cards, drawings and paintings for their Mothers and attended the Mother’s Day Stall alongside the children in the Junior School. Thank you to the parent support on the day with helping with the transactions. The ELC children were excited to go shopping and visit the Boys’ Junior School.

In the ELC we also ran our Scones and Songs night. The children and their significant female joined us in the classroom to share some of our favourite activities and we ended the night with a little performance. The children sang a special Mother’s Day song, organised by Mrs Shari Bhatt and danced to two of their other favourite songs.  The youngest learners singing, is always a joyful moment, bringing a tear or two to their Mother’s eyes.

It is great to hear all of the positive feedback from the mother’s, Grandmother’s and Educators from our Songs and Scones night.

“It’s moments like these that makes you feel so proud to be a mother,” Jacqui, Gabriel’s Mother

“It so nice to be able to share moments like these as a grandmother, it’s so special,” Leo’s Gran

Lastly, thank  you to all of the Educators in the ELC supporting the children through every step in the lead up to Mother’s Day, it wouldn’t be possible without you.
