EISM Division 2 Athletics
On Tuesday 3 May, Tintern Grammar competed in the EISM Division 2 Athletics Carnival at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park. The weather was perfect for competition and the students were able to compete against quality athletes from other schools across the EISM. The day started well with Tintern winning a couple of the early races and we had some excellent individual results throughout the day. As progress scores were announced throughout the day, the competition was tight from places 3 to 7. Tintern was placed 5th or 6th for most of the day, only a few points behind the schools above. The students kept competing to the best of their ability and with some excellent results late in the day, Tintern managed to finish 3rd overall. Congratulations to the year 7 girls (U/13) who won their age group on the day. Thank you to Mrs Jurey, Ms Ord, Ms Vine and Mr Coghlan for their assistance on the day.

On Monday 9 May Tess Flanagan swam for the EISM in the VSAC swimming competition against other school sporting associations. Tess swam extremely well on the night. Tess was the 4th swimmer in the U15 girls backstroke relay. In the medley relay Tess swam 1st in the backstroke leg against 16 year and swam a personal best time. The EISM finished 3rd overall against other school sporting associations.
